IMPORTEND RULES, Int. Intersport Eybl Steel - Town - Man Triathlon.

(The race is based on the race regulations of the Austrian Triathlon Union - ÖTRV )

 

Swimming: Swimming caps issued by the organizer must be worn. Neoprene – swimsuits are oblgatory up to a Swimm – distance of 2,5 KM. Each competitor will have his / her start number applied to arms and legs by the organizer. Only official boats ( for rescuing and adjudicating purposes ) are allowed to use the race – course.

 

Cycling:      Drafting and constant parallel cycling are prohibited and liable to disqualification. A minimum distance of 10 m must be kept to the cyclist in front.Each competitor must wear a hard shell helmet at last the ASNI Z : 90.4 or an equal standard, which must be shown in the helmet.Each competitor must also wear some form of clothing on the upper part of the body. The bicycles must be fitted with the frame – start numbers. Each competitor must wear his / her start number on his / her back. Break levers must show backwards. Gear shift showing must not be the most projecting part of the tribars or handle – bars in forward direction.

 

Running:

1.   Competitors may not be accompanied by non-competing persons (friends, supporters, trainers, etc.)

                                               2.   Each competitor must also wear clothing on the upper part of the body.

                                               3.     The start number must be worn on the chest.

General: Each competitor is responsible for his or her own intermediate and end time registration.Instructions given by adjudicators, officials, doctors and rescue officials must be complied with. Start numbers may not be reducedin size or altered in any way.Materials, money- prizes which are not collected on the day of the honors ceremony, are forfeited. Protest may only be submitted in writing and accompanied by a deposit of ATS 500,- the adjudicator, according to the ÖTRV sport regulations.
